• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Looking good! Are all those extra guns standard, or was this a field mod by a creative crew?
 
This one will be a great addition to MAW, especially regarding operations from Malta where this aircraft played a major role but losses were high.

Basic main visual differances between the MKI and MKIa would probably be the dorsal turret, MKI had a Damler turret, MKIa had a Bristol one, MKI had rearward facing plexiglass chin gun (but not always), MKIa had forward facing twin nose mounted guns, MKI had folding DF loop aerial, while the Ia had the streamlined fixed DF.

I could be wrong but I don't think there was a MKII, it just jumped to MKIIa from the MKIa, the IIa had P&W Twin Wasps.
