Erik Jones

Hey All,

The point is simple - when cup regulars are running xfinity the chances of xfinity regulars winning goes down. Of course cup regulars don't win every xfinity race they are in but they win alot. The question becomes would Erik Jones have won if cup regulars were in the race in Chicago - maybe but we've no way to know. I have often wondered if Cup regular drivers should be allowed to drive Xfinity but then I do get the why - the money they likely bring in. Yes dear we will go to the Xfinity race cuz it costs way less than cup and you can still see your beloved Kyle Busch where he has a chance to win. :)

In case you skipped over a previous post of mine, I'll say it again below...:running:

Hey All,

No I did not miss it. Nowhere have I said or implied in any way shape or form that if a cup racer is in an Xfinity race that he/she is guaranteed to win. Their presence changes the odds into their favor.

I'm disappointed with your responses in this thread...(but they are typical for you)...
I would expect you of all people to at least give Jones some credit for beating Brad...

Hey All,

Oh get real. You can read all the negative you want into what I say. But I have not said anything negative about him. If I want to be negative about him personally I would but I'm not and haven't been. He did good.

What I've discovered is that it's against your hard wired DNA to give out a comment to someone that's not "your driver" without inserting something negative or smart. In this case, I suppose it took this long for your "he did good" because Jones drives for Kyle Busch...

Oh, and your negative in this case is your remark about who can win when the Cup regulars aren't racing - instead of just a clean "good win" without the other stuff.

Nice to see that I can be away for six months or so and find EasyEd still blinkered and keeping up his 'Flat Earth Society' view of motor racing!
:banghead:

Hey All,

P I been nothing but nice to Erik - in fact he has had to overcome enormous enormous obstacles to win what he has.

Yep! And very good Xfinity Series racing at Kentucky last night, looking forward to watching the Sprint Cup Series tonight!

I know the reasons why 'Level 1' drivers run in several 'Junior League' series ($$$$$$ and bums on seats) but it sucks.
In fact it is just unsporting, not that 'sportsmanship' counts for much in this arena.
At least the Division 2 series in the V8 Supercars is for new blood or part time drivers, not for the top level runners.

Speaking of V8 Supercars, hows Marcos doing? I heard he went back to racing.

Great race tonight Erik!
Considering you experience, nothing to hang your head for!

Hmmm... I guess Brad is not one of P's drivers.

Nice drive Erik!
