Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Water themed DAF XF:

Magma MAN TGX:

Wolf Renault Magnum (Love the low front of this truck!):

Scania R Topline Fire:

For my own truck I found a great mod that works with v1.11 (Some older mods give nasty conflicts with newer versions of the game) and adds the Scania Torpedo model together with a whole bunch of mods.
So I added a 730 hp engine, an 8x4 chassis (Four driven, four steering wheels) a 'longliner' cabin and a whole bunch of pipes, bars and lights. Mixed up a custom metallic paint with a 'frost' effect that turns from grey to blue depending on the angle of the sunlight.

I don't think it would be very practical in the real world (Truck length is limited to the combined length of truck and trailer here for normal transport like ETS2 uses) but it's a game so who cares, right?

Here's how it looks so far, but I might make a few small changes in the future:

Seems I missed a few clickspots to add parts on the back, so now I've added fenders and other parts to make the back look a lot cleaner. Also added a plate with some extra lights behind the rear spoiler now.

Anyone still playing this..?

Update 1.17 is now here, as is the new Scandinavia DLC pack. 1.17 brings a new engine, with 64-bit optional; the game now runs more smooth with very little stutters, looks sharper and weather effects have improved.
Dowside is that most old mods no longer work, as the tire model now has seperate rims and tires selectable. Updated mods have already appeared though! Mercedes has finally replaced 'majestic' in the game, so all manufacturers now carry an official license.

Some screenshots of how the game now looks:

My wife and I both play it but we are still on v1.16, I didn't know v1.17 was out. Will have to get the latest version at some point.

Edit: I just grabbed it (several hours later) and gave it a run and all I can say is ......WOW! :icon_eek:

The lighting effects now are stunning especially at dawn/dusk. The lighting in the tunnels is also greatly improved. Game-play seems smoother too with less stutters.

I like (and so does my wife)!

:applause:

One thing my wife commented on is that she is still seeing 'Majestic' instead of Mercedes in her sim, I don't drive that make (nor do any of my multiple drivers) so I haven't noticed.

Larry, the mercedes upgrade is part of the 1.18 beta, which I didn't notice. My ETS2 in Steam is set to accept new beta versions, I assume the 1.18 update release will be a matter of days.
