• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

And I reckon it will remain a 'simulation'.
For at least 30 something years this one resurfaces.
Never going to happen, the US can't afford "Bernie's Popular Prices".
Well, Bernie likes them.

No, they say it's a go for 2013. Weehoken is where my dad's Uncle Tom lived, right at the Lincoln Tunnel. Great view on the waterfront of Manhattan. I stayed there the entire Summer of '68, fell in love with the Mets. I remember going as a kid with my father. Uncle Tom loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, called them "Dem Bums". I love baseball, so many memories, I can still here the Brooklyn Jewish section yelling at the umpire on a disputed call, "Raus, raus, raus mit der bum!" Memories, etched across the pages of my mind.

Ferry, this 'Myth' has been played over some 3 decades.
The nearest event that came close to a 'Grand Prix of New York' was a CART round in (IIRC) the late '80s at (and again IIRC) 'Meadowlands', won by Mario.
I know.......I'm a cynic, but as I mentioned, the US can hardly afford it.
Even now, the highly touted circuit in Texas is looking financially shaky, which is a shame.
I'll only believe this type of BS when I see a full grid setting off on a warm up lap.
