Fairey Battle Help

Lt. Heinz Becker

Charter Member
When I download the plane from this site there is no texture in the cockpit. Is there a shared file for this plane? If there is I can't seem to locate it. Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Heinz

Same thing happened to me.

Check the British Aircraft Section in free flight and scroll down until you see the name Fairey Battle. This is the original aircraft.

Others with the`Fairey Battle name in the American or German sections are AI and have no cockpit.

Autothrottle has the answer. You're trying to fly the AI version. Standard CFS3 naming has it that any aircraft which appears in the QC menu with "~" preceding its name, is an AI. It is left selectable (as opposed to a true AI which you will not be able to select in QC) in order that it can be chosen for use in QC mode. As CFS3 spawns only "USA" and "Germany" aircraft, it will appear in the "USA" menu. The player flyable version appears in the appropriate nationality menu, normally "Britain."
