Flying Stations payware canberras

SOH-CM-2025
Been a bit of talk about Canberra's on other threads, other than Bill Holker's and Virtavia, Flying station's also did a fine Canberra. The site is still out the on the WayBackMachine. and apparently still for sale at $5. I have one of their model's but not all. i think its neck and neck with the Virt model, maybe the Virt is slightly better exterior model but FS has nicer VC but there's very little in it.
but im not sure buying stuff of oldersites on WBM is a good idea, never sure where your money's going. not sure its worth the risk without further research

Hi Ian, SkippyBing is a member here and was last on the site on July 5th. You might try dropping him a PM to see if he can help you out.

would not recommend clicking on any sale/purchase link on a site archived on the wayback machine...usually just a dead end, and especially if the site itself no longer exists in real-time; albeit with one exception, and which is if and only if, the purchase can be done within a flight1 wrapper, and wayback machine has on many occasions archived the relevant flight1 wrapper installer downloads, i.e. like sky unlimited - but here again, one would have to jump through a variety of hoops on modern OS - 10/11 to complete the antiquated flight1 wrapper purchase, and especially as flight1 has gradually moved on. Not to mention many developers like Imaginesim withdrew their accounts with flight1, and so, purchasing Imaginesim titles via flight1 wrappers would be an exercise in futility; instead would have to directly purchase from imaginesim.

Anywho Motormouse and Tako_Kichi's pointers are your best bet...

In the Soesterburg AB thread, someone mentioned missing the smoky engine starts.
I think I can cobble something together. :wiggle:
I'm guessing the poster meant using starter cartridges, glorified shotgun shells that quickly spun the rotor up to starting speed.
The sound folder I uploaded for the B-52G uses starter cartridge sound effects and I also used some REALLY thick black smoke fx for the -52G's water injection take offs. Alpha/Virtavia had several models that featured (less) smoky engine start animations.

Cram all three together and I think it would look pretty good.

I'll work on it, but I have another project that's almost ready to upload.
Probably by this weekend. :wiggle:
The current project is an update kit for the Alphasim F7F Tigercat.
"New" sound folder, small changes to the Aircraft and Panel CFGs plus an EVP file you can install using EditVoicePack.

Why the Alpha Tigercat? Its makes a nice trainer for landing on smaller carrier decks. :sneaky:
The donationware F4F Wildcat is great, but its engine tends to block your view when it matters most on short final.
If any of you CFS folks know the correct way to drop a piston fighter on a fleet carrier, I'm all ears.
I'm getting more consistent but it still feels like I'm too fast when I catch a wire. :indecisiveness:

The aforementioned Steve Beeney's Hawker Sea Hawk has a very good cartridge start smoke effect.
