• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Mr. Ito's latest, the Fournier RF4D Motorglider is now up at Flightsim.com... :applause:

I have fond memories of the RF4D. It was the first R/C model I flew.
Back in the early eighties I believe. It was what at the time was this brand new thing called an ARF(Almost Ready to Fly). Now about 75% of all models are ARF's. It was from Cox Models. 70" wingspan. All foam with a Cox QRC .049 engine. Where we grew up there were no thermals.
Longest flight time we got was 11 minutes. Which wasn't bad since the tank only held 2 1\2 minutes of fuel.
We sold my Mom's house last year and had to clear it out. What do you suppose I found in one of the storage areas? Broken and worn, it brought back a lot of memories for me before it hit the trash.

Wondered when this was going to arrive....he asked me ages ago for plans and drawings of this (am afraid its all my fault). So nice to see something a little different.

Hope that there is more of the same, but am afraid to say that Kazunori's health isn't that good at present (he is having great problems with his eye sight) and so as my dear old Mother said 'your health is far more important than anything else'. As I have told him, just look after yourself and do what you want to when you can. I dont know what the next project will be.....hopefully he is having a well deserved rest.

Best wishes to all,

Martin

I just got an email from Mr. Ito, he is depressed. His father died very recently, he is emotional, and probably needs time. More info in the RF4D readme.
