  • Special Server Maintenance

Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

what about Joe Binka's Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, across the pond, in NY https://library.avsim.net/extsearch...rch[author]=Binka&extended_search[category]=0 together with the ORA AI Plus Package Parts 1-3 compiled by Mick Morrissey @Mick available here in the SOH Resources Library - very atmospheric and rather thematically reminiscent of the 'Flyboys' time period

Edit: Old Rhinebeck by @Binka is also available right here in SOH Library
I used it, but slighty backdated to match more or less with vintage era.

BTW, I furthermore have the FSX 'WWI 1917' scenery installed. Of course, they aren't any objects. Such could easely be added from libraries. However, I'm not shure whether I converted the Afcad to FS9 or did it myself. It doesn't need sophisticated environments anyway. But it still remains very poor for such an important era of aviation. Wasn't it the boost of aeronautical history? Apparently completely negtleted by flight simluation.

Flying the Corsican coast in a Breguet XIV Latécoère by Restauravia

And with FranceVFR Corse: only thing missing would be a Corsica Ferries Ship... sadly though, the Corse AI Ships, include no routing from Calvi…
I remember the Corsica Ferries allways coming in and departing from Calvi back then when i chilled at the beach down there… during my holidays.

And that Hot AIr Balloon there might potentially poses a safety issue for the Arriving and Departing Aircraft to and from Calvi Airport... because it is allmost in their approach and departing ways… i eventually get rid of it…

AI Corsica Ferry ships and traffic could be easely added. Be just aware, that the sea could be rough some few miles away from the coast, and AI ships could disappear. Unfortunately seas aren't flat in FS9. I did my experiences.

Most ships in FS9 are allways cruising within a 2 - 5 Mile range from the Coast… not too far away so they stay visible and don’t disappear…

Also i feel like some new ships have to be created and to be added… as apart from La Méridionale and Corsica Ferries, there’s now a third Company called “Corsica Linea” cruising to and from Corse Island. In red and White Colored Ferries.
