Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

What water textures are you using? The combo of that water and the planes texture's are outstanding.

Sean

Hi Sean,

Sorry for the late reply, but I somehow missed your question. As I already explained in the "Best water texture for FS9", I really don't know which water textures, env_XXX.bmps and OceanHeightField.bmp I have used. Its a personal mixture from all freeware water files I could find on the internet.
Somewhere I lost track of what I have been doing.

These textures look fine for the Northers seas, but aren't very good for tropical seas. Except for some shallow areas.

As I really don't know who to give credit, I can't make theme available. But I'm sure when you do a search on "water" on the bigger flightsim sites you will be able to find quite some material to play with.

Cheers,
Huub

Tu-114 probably the most beautiful airliner of all time?

You know, I used to think that the Lockheed Constellation was the one but now I'm not so sure...

Archive footage of this aircraft is amazing.
