Ime reinstalling FS9 buit when in a windowed mode the views are messed up and locked even though the aircraft is still moving, the only way to fix it every time i try it is to go to view then view options and just hit okay.

I never had a problem with this in XP but now am using vista, anyone have any ideas.

Wow...I have had some planes do that to me too..Needless to say I crashed trying to get a view to see ..The C-47 cargo was famous for this for me..

Is it on all planes Sean?

Might just try a reboot..Err..How far along are you with all your addons and installs....???

This is a fresh install of FS9 FSx has been deleted for now. and it is on all planes.
NO other addons have been installed at this time.

I found a solution, this applies to Vista users running in wondowed mode.

It turns out the culprit is the
Vista Aero theme. The solution is to right click the FS9.exe
file, select properties, and under the Compatibility tab
check the Disable desktop composition box.

Tried it and it works great.:woot:

LOLOL....

Incredible..

:faint:

Glad you got that fixed...

(vista, the 'work in progress' experimental os that you 'must' buy!)

If you have ever run 'Windowblinds' you learn very quickly what programs to avoid 'skinning'.
FS9 is not very happy with Windowblinds in particular ......... :173go1:

Sean:

I had the exact same issue on one of my laptops and cured it by going back to 16 bit color from 32 bit.

Give that a shot: T.
