FSD P38 and other aircraft in P3D V2.4 / loadout managers

Hi,

I found on several aircraft that have loadout managers or other context menus that the menu entries there are not clickable anymore. The only aircraft that work flawless for me are the A2A titles. But FSDs P38 Lightning, for example, has a non functional configuration menu. With Vertigos F8F Bearcat, the loadout manager behaves erratic. Much to my dismay, if I may add.

Anyone else experiencing that?

Cheers,
Mark

The loadout manager of the Bearcat works very fine for me in P3D 2.3.
Can you give me an example of something that doesn't work ?

Didn´t tryed the Bearcat yet but Vertigo´s Panther loadout manager is working perfectly in here. What exactly isn´t working?

Thanks for the replies. The F8F problem was sitting in front of the keyboard, it's solved. The other issue with the FSD Lightning is persisting. The armament / controls menu pops up, but the red / green fields are missing and clicking on the function (e.g. make pilot visible) does nothing.

I must say, I moved the aircraft over from the old P3D installation. Maybe something is missing.

Cheers,
Mark

Might be a missing file indeed.
I had a similar problem with the RAZBAM birds (Harrier and A-7). I forced the installer to install them in the P3D folder, but then I realized that it only updated the EXE.xml/DLL.xml for FSX. The P3D ones were untouched. After I copy-pasted the RAZBAM dll entries from the FSX files to the P3D files, the load managers started to work a bit better :)
(and the Harrier started to hover as well...)

OK, it was a missing file indeed. FSD P38 is working A-OK in P3D V2.4 (what a well built 3d model it is, I love it) !

Cheers,

Missing file

My FSD Pilatus Porter is doing the same thing.. Error 30: Some important simulator files could not be found.
9 out of 10 critical Flight Simulator files were found. How do you find which file is missing?? Every thing works fine, except the VC is not clickable. Can anyone help me come up with a fix??

Sorry ,, also using P3D v2.4 only.. No help from FSD!!

I believe the fsd porter does not have clickable panel in P3D is due to it only being FSX ready and not native (no interior mdl file). I'm not sure there will be a fix until fsd makes it properly compatible. (unless someone has found a way that is)

There is no fix for this. The virtual cockpit of the FS9 planes are not clickable in P3D, there's nothing you can do to solve this.

In my case, with the P-38, I have the original installation in a now defunctional P3D 1.4 folder structure. The FSD installer writes an install log which shows you all the necessary files, that's how I found the culprit (was a missing dll in the $root\gauges folder).

If you have the original installation you might want to check the log file!

Cheers,
Mark
