I restart the fuselage, I use more polygons and I think it's look good ;).

Next step finish the engine cowlings.

David, your project is progressing very well. It is a great way to get through the winter months.

Keep us posted here and if you have any questions, maybe we can help.

Great aircraft subject too. :)

The project is temporarily suspended, due to overload at work with the season end approaching. I'm very busy :( Otherwise after reading about the Ménestrel HN-433 by Lagaffe (French Topic), I could identify each step for a smooth running of the project in its continuity. The other day I was doing an export of the tail in order to validate the installation of the SDK. But he could not be complete without the tag animation and validation in FSX.

Yes, that works. And now, you are making the big progress. Have fun!

Finally, I still found time to work on the 3D gauges.

A little bug, any idea why the indicator is inverse on the animation ? Not the good axis on Gmax ?

A French draft on the subject: Draft to create 3D gauge on FSX (French)

For you, below just the picture about developement and test on FSX, because my english is not good to explain step by step the procedure.

Thank you for your encouragement. And it's a great pleasure to develop on FSX.

A big thank for you, I read many greats tutorial write by you before to start the Jodel. (The Cessna C162 for example)

I add this line on "modeldef.xml" for the fuel indicator

sorry no xml's posted, messes up the forums, ... ickie

David,

The only thing that comes to my mind is that you may have animated it using the View Coordinate.

Animations require that you use teh Local Coordinate system, at least that is true in gmax/makemdl for FS9.

Check your animation again and be sure to select the Local Coordinate system before animating.

I just add 25% 50% 75% keyframes and it's work ;)

I use the local cordinate system when a create the animation. The screenshot was take after the creation.

Now you can see some pictures of the new fuselage modeling, using the "Loft" fonction on Gmax.

Click on pictures to enlarge !

"Performance indicator render mode" on MCX. Next step, the wing !

Somes statistics with the DrawCallMonitor.

Vertex, and normal render ;)

In Gmax:

In FSX:

Bonus, in FS9. Careful, just a little test and share with you. The aircraft is only for FSX

Lots of thanks Arno, your tools is very great for me. ;)

Good week for all. See you soon for other update.

Great progress:applause: Thanks for keeping us up-to-date:ernae:

Thank you Roger, it's a pleasure to keep up this topic ;)

When I wake up early this morning, I wanted to move, and delete many vertex on the fuselage of the Jodel. Review the couples of rear of the fuselage. Forms were not equated with the real model. Then start for the part inside the fuselage.

Then after reviewing the fuselage, engine cowling modification to reduce the opening. Also my mesh is rather homogeneous throughout;)
