Full ATC control on airfield addons that don't have them

I'm a huge fan of @DaleRFU 's incredible RAF airfields. Coltishall and especially Cottesmore.

On my sim at least, these don't have Tower / ATC options, however, only "uncontrolled" announcements on the ATC prompt.

Is there a way to add tower ATC so you can request - and receive clearance for departures, takeoffs, etc.

PS - if you've not tried Cottesmore, it's to die for!

As far as I know, that's up to the developer. I know that back in the FS9 days, AFCAD allowed you to add/modify ATC functions.
 
It can be done with ADE2020, but you'll probably end up having to adjust a few other things like taxiways and parking spots too - it's quite a can of worms tbh!
Plus Scruffyduck has retired from developing now, so ADE2020 is no longer supported.

I have the same problem here.
There is no way to add a tower frequency to an existing airport, it is intrinsic and you have to create a new airport (hence deaktivate the old one with all the consequences) if you want to have that.
I think it has been asked over at FSDeveloper with the same outcome, but you might want to check there.

With ADE, you'd superimpose a duplicate default airfield over the mod scenery, minus the buildings. You'd have your new ATC radio comms channels BUT a duplicate of the default runways, taxiways and all their signs and markings, will show up over your mod scenery including the invisible AI tracks and parking spots. It can be a lot of work to remove all the unwanted items and edit the parking spots etc to match the mod scenery.
