Gauges for Combat Flight Simulator

Hello Klein,
The problem wasn't where you are thinking. I had no trouble getting the levers to mimic the settings when using keyboard controls.
The problem came when I wanted the levers to track with the mouse. I could not figure out how to get a mouse drag to work, so I tried something different: I used the mouse click position as a reference to set the lever position. The problem was that the numbers I was arriving at through the documentation were not working like they should. Eventually I figured out what the gauge was actually using for the mouse position which makes no sense from a description POV, but it is repeatable and works reliably.

The B-5 Magneto gauge finally appears to be working the way I want.
It had been working correctly from a ground start from the beginning, but if an aircraft with this gauge was loaded in the air, the gauge knobs would not match the actual settings. I tried at least four different methods and finally arrived at one that works more or less without any real faults.
This particular gauge is needed for both the P-38 panel on which it is shown here and for the B-25 Mitchell.

The B-5 Magneto is probably the largest gauge I have programmed from a space consideration.
As completed, it is very near 2.5 MB. The reasons behind this are that that there are quite a few fairly large bitmaps in the gauge and that there are actually two gauges in the set. I thought it would make good sense to put a second gauge for engines 3 and 4 into the set. Now I just have to find the 4 engine P-38 to test out the new gauge.
