    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Hello everybody,
There is a new de Havilland Heron, 4-piston engined transport, sometimes dubbed the "Flying Greyhound bus" (due to its air-pressure powered flaps and brakes) available for download from Simviation.

I tried to load it in FS2004 last night, did'nt work for me. Anybody have better luck?

Sid: I downloaded the other day and had no probs, I also added reverse props obtained from Tom Gibsons California Classic Propliner Site and it works like a charm. In their latest d/l of the L1649 contains the file and gauges needed to install reverse prop. Best Regards, Jess

Please tell me if I am doing this correctly:
1) I copy the 2 Heron aircraft folders (post extraction) into my Fs2004 aircraft folder.
2) I copy the gauges folder in the Heron download (located inside the zipped Panel folder) in the Fs2004\Gauges folder
3) What am I supposed to do with the separate Panel folder that is in the Heron dowwnload?
Thanks for any input. I did'nt find the Heron with VC in AVSIm library. Do you have a webaddress for this download?

Sid: I can't ans on this as I guess the files I d/l from avsim have no VC and I had to d/l guages fm adventure-unlimited.org (John Hinson's site). Hope someone can help you with this prob. I prefer to fly with 2D panel. Best Regards, Jess
 
Sid: I really got CRS, I said that reverse prop file was in latest L1069 folder, correction, it isn't, my mistake. I went into my files and found the reverse prop file that I have with the gauges and text I believe it was posted in the forums at Cal proplnr site some time ago. In the text Tom Gibson cites a thread by Win232 posted here at SOH that shows how put reverse props into a/c. I hope that I haven't throughly confused anyone, sorry but old age has reduced my memory retainion (75 Next Mo). I should ckd things out before I submit them. My apologies, Best regards, Jess
 
Wish I'd come back earlier to see the post concerning the origin of this bird. After having downloaded 150meg I canceled. Basically a low poly aircraft, which means that the extra 180 meg were for the 20 repaints, lol.
 
dang i dl'd it and installed it..the VC is in the pass compartment...so i came here to find the fix and find out its basically a ripoff?....well it does look good...did anybody accually try it?..i cant figure out why there are 6 panel options...maybe thats cause they are all stolen???......
