HAWKER HUNTER MK.58 - SWISSMILSIM

Is that in FI pipeline, Paul ?... Fine! But first the B-17, right ?!... ;-)

Yes, they released an early development shot of the Hunter a good while ago, and I'm assuming they haven't abandoned it. To be honest, while I love Flying Iron, their lack of communication is maddening. I wish they'd give us something definite on the B-17G

And I'm not criticizing! We like what we like! :)

I just wish people were more accepting of simpler planes, so that we could get more niche/unusual aircraft like we had in the FSX/P3D days. (Actually, I just wish MSFS had done actually working back-compatibility on FSX/P3D planes -- that would have solved a lot of this.)

Well, don't you think that's kinda true ? Ok, more or less... I'm not that much interested in it myself but isn't it true that quite a few FSX/P3D models *do* actually work satisfactory in MSFS20/24 ? And then the process is going on to push some of these models further into the realm of MSFS20/24, like f.i. the wonderful Flight Replicas FSX B-24. I'd love PMDG to get their magnificent DC-6 fully native MSFS2024 but the model does already work fine in 24 be it that i can't get the flaps to work. Didier (Lagaffe) and me have got the green light from Mike (CYUL) to get his DC-4 up to 24 scratch and i can imagine there might be a lot more where this comes from.

I bet Virtavia's Demon, Skywarrior, Skyray, Thunderstreak, Crusader might join the Cutlass before the MP B-17 gets her final take-off clearance.. ;-)

No, I've tried to convert a couple of FSX/P3D planes. For them to work/fly anything approaching right, there's a ton of rebuilding involved with animations, flight modeling, instruments, in some cases having to completely rebuild the interior (see all of the work Lagaffe has been doing to get the A-26 over, for instance). It's beyond my ability. You can run them through modelconverter and sometimes get something into MSFS, but it's not really a simulation of the original plane anymore at that point, just a visual model that kinda flies.
