The AIRCO - De Havilland D.H.9, designed to be the successor to the D.H.4, was constructed in large numbers (over 3,000 airframes). The '??????? ?????????? ????????' (N.A.Y./ Hellenic Navy Air Force) received, after the end of WWI, a total of 42 D.H.9s and used them as recce / bombers; after 1926 six of them were transformed in seaplanes.
