A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Ships

Description: This model depicts the Royal Navy invincible class aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal in a typical configuration during her 2010 deployment.

Ark Royal differs from Invincible and Illustrious in that her ski jump was designed with a 12 degree ramp from the outset, along with the use of Phalanx instead of Goalkeeper CIWS. In her later years Ark Royal received a different communications fit from either Invincible or Illustrious as can be seen in the design of her third "mast" to the rear of the island. All three carriers are equipped with two GAM-B01 20mm guns from Oerlikon-Contraves and BAE Systems

This model was originally designed in sketchup, to which I have since ported into Blender. As a result although she is a marked improvement on my earlier invincible class models there are still some anomalies with texturing.

Tested in FSX Acceleration only.

I'm trying to put TACAN together for this within AICarriers.
Did you pre-configure?

RFN TACAN Gauge suggests 17X but I think that's for an older Ark.

Please help, keep having to ditch the Harrier in the Channel and swim back to Culdrose after another unsuccessful locating attempt!

Whether you have an older Ark Royal or not you can make the RFN TACAN Gauge work with this version one using the same 27X (109.00).
Simply edit the section in the "\Gauges\RFN_Carrier.xml" file to point to this one based on the sim.cfg title line.
In this case change Sim_Name="Ark_Royal" to Sim_Name="HMS Ark Royal 2010".

Now, off to fly in this filthy weather over the Channel but at least I'll be able to find the ruddy barge. :encouragement:
