How can I convert SSI files to DXT.bmp?

Help Needed...

I have downloaded a couple of aircaft from 'Rarewings' for FS9. (Alcore C61, Miller HM-4 Aerovel).
Unfortunately the textures are in .SSI format and these are not recognised by FS9, or any other editing or paint program I have installed.

Would somebody have an easy solution on how to convert these files to DXT.bmp?

Your help would be enormously appreciated.

Thanks, Stuart.

Erm, are you sure that's
a SSI file, according to file info. com that
particular suffix is an Adobe Dreamweaver
server file... not any recognised texture format

Hi Stuart,
These files are at Simviation. I've just checked the Alcor from there and there are no odd ssi files. So an easy fix!

Most of their files are there for Fs9 and FSX.

I'm very sorry, the file extensions are not '.SSI', but '.$$A'!
A silly mistake of mine whilst trying to recall memorised information...:banghead:

Still, any help would be appricated.

Cheers, Stuart
