Hull markings

My best guess would be the location of her New Propulsion System. As per the documentary the system hangs below the hull and rotates about it's axis's.

Yes, you are nearly there.

The top picture shows the position of her thrusters.

The middle photo is where her stabilisers are.

The lower one (which looks like a decapitated 5) denotes that she has a protruding bow, (don't confuse this with a bulbous bow, a protruding bow can be the same length or longer than the bow overhang).
