• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

That video has been going around.... absolutely amazing skill on the pilot's part. Or sheer luck, as luck would have it. Anyway... any landing that you can walk away from is a "good landing". :amen:

Ah it's just an R/C aircraft....not the real thing. There is/was a video of it on YouTube also.
 
I might not be able to fly a plane with one wing...but I sure can crash one with both wings LOL.

The video I saw showed the pilot climbing out of the cockpit after he landed.... as well as a man running towards the plane. Hmmm...

It's actually CGI... I have always had a kind of knack for spotting things that are just a tad 'off'.... Indeed, this video looks quite convincing... as a matter of fact perfect....until they show it landing.... at that point in time, the manner in which the plane moves is just a little too smooth..... other than that...it's a helluva video.... I think it was a commercial for something overseas somewhere.... could be wrong...

I just watched it again for grins.... just pay attention to the part when the plane rolls to touch its mains on the grass..... and then teh roll out... if you were a believer to begin with, I doubt you will be if you just watch that part....
 
Well if it is real why did they stop filming or if they did film more, why not show it too? Would have been nice seeing the people exit the plane and other people coming to the rescue.

If you ignore the fact that while the camera jostles around a bit, the plane miraculously only seems to fly a few feet in like 3 or 4 seconds.... then it isn't too bad... If you want to see some crazy realism, are you aware of that Japanese CGI guy that many people of posted links to his stuff on here.....? that is some insane stuff......

Definatly fake, I think it is a mix of models and CGI, they way it bounces during landing looks like a R/C but after the landing it looks like CGI. The pilot climbing out proves nothing because you can film him doing that in a real plane and then edit it into the computer model. Also the first part of the film is sharp and the plane is in the middle of the frame. Just before the wing falls of it it gets all shaky and out of focus so you can not see very well how they did it.

It is amazing how some people think that if it is on film it is real. Some people even thought this film was real. It is obviously a submarine missile launch were they edited out the missile and replaced it with an F-15.
