Is there a stil missing WWII airfield in the UK of the eight or ninth that you would like to see in FS9? Let me know, I will see if I can fill the gap.....

There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

From what I know this was a RAF base, not a eight or ninth base.
Upottery was home to the 439th Troop Carrier Group, the same group that dropped the 101st Airborne into Normandy on D-Day. I'm pretty sure this hasn't been covered as yet, and along with other troop carrier bases, would be great for the MAAM C-47.
Cheers
Cees, when you are really thinking about picking up your career as scenery maker again, could you take this in consideration?

There are many beautiful RAF ams USAF airfields, but there are only a few places available for their opponents.
Cheers,

Wow Cees where have you been? Just came across this thread and now I have places to fly my B-26 a-la in the period. Thanks so much for the scenery. Dad was a B-26 pilot with the 9th 344BG and flew mostly out of Stanstead and Bishops Stortford. D. Radice did a beautiful custom texture for me of his aircraft (B26mann.zip), or at least the one he was assigned after his crash June 4, 1944. Can't wait to load some fields and waft back to 1944. Thanks again!!![]()
