• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Why was it cancelled?? Probably jet manufacturers were going to sue for rights on the aircraft?

That redone Fairchild Tank Buster looked awesome... So did the Harrier thing. Thumbs up on those babys....!

Well the special effects and the way they fly has to be the best I have ever seen. The way the rockets are launch from the jets and what happens afterward is something to watch :amen:
 
Darn, I would have bought that immediately!!! I sure hope the game is revived, or someone else creates one like it, and DOES release it!

and it even has a optional simulation level, not only arcade.
The interesting thing is the splendid graphics in both of those. This gives true hope for the upcoming magnum opus "Storm of War" series which are said to outclass those graphics....and they will be a true sim for PC's.

If such a sim (the one that was canceled) is actually produced....or one like it, I will buy a new system if I have to. That thing is COOL!

Wow. That looked like a really fun game. That's really dissapointing. I'm sure it'll be replaced on the shelf by some EA game that'll barely work out of the box.

I miss Crimson Skies. Can't find my install cds anywhere to reload it. Have to check and see if anyone online is still selling it for cheap. That was a hugely fun game. It would be even more fun now that I actually have an X52.
 
is it possible that the company made the video as to say "this is what the game will look like" and then the programmer told them "we can't do that" ?
as difficult as phil always said fsx was to write, i can imagine that combat sim would have been a major undertaking.
 
Well I know some of you guys think that other games can add up to this one but from what I have seen on that video I don't think that any of the rest can even hold a straw up to this. Look at how the rockets are launched from the jets and aleo the land detail.The last part of the video when the jet fires at that rocket and the way it is hit is something else...Mike
