• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

In many ways I have gotten to know some of the people here. One thing I have learned is that support of those in need is always present. I come before you now asking for prayers on behalf of someone that has been very special to me.

Carol was the long time companion to my Mom, whom I lost a year & a half ago. Over time she (Carol) became like a second mom, and has held a special place in my heart for many years. Sadly her recent years have not been good, and I just received word that she is again in the hospital, and is not expected to make it through the night.

Please join with me in asking that her remaining time be a peaceful one, and that she is soon with the Lord, and free of all burden.

Thanks to all for your efforts. It is greatly appreciated.

I spoke with my brother this afternoon, and Carol's condition has not changed. She has a blood clot in her heart, and a lot of fluid in her lungs. There is not much that can be done for her at this point according to the Doctors. He has been spending as much time with her as he can, but at this point he says that she really is not 'there'.

We are torn between hope and what would appear to be reality.

I got word this morning that Carol passed away last night. We are thankful to know that she is no longer suffering, and that she is now in a much better world. :engel016:
