Uploading a limited beta package as I write here. Will be sending out links during the hour.

I had to restrict the package size as it is so large with 4 aircraft, 11 liveries, two sound sets, two panels.

So you will receive one model, two textures sets, one sound set, and the effects and documentation (such as it is). Still large at 80MB.

A second beta will be forthcoming later in the week with two different models and two textures sets, the other panel and sound set.

The upload is now done; I will download it, check it, and then send out the link.

EDIT: Links sent by PMs - Have fun :) Note this is an FS9 package so if any of you are running FSX only, you will have to do a prop swap. I failed to remember to put in the FSX changes.

Thanks for jumping into this one. Magoo found the issue with aircraft overstress with flaps. :applause:

Beta test update; issues found, some resolved, some to be done:

1) Aircraft overstress when flaps deployed: corrected, air file attached above

2) Icons: Other Controls INOP

3) Panel Lighting Switch No Work: Works for me but, there is no gauge backlighting on this old aircraft; using fx_vclight but will add two sprays of light for VC panels before release
EDIT: I see I left out the fx_cabinlights so that would explain the NOOP cabin switch issue. Also used fx_vclilght_Red ... may not be a default so you may not have that. Changed to use vclight default effect.

4) Fuel Tank selector for #3 INOP

5) Ref and Checklist differ on RPM settings for takeoff/climb (s/b 2200): Corrected

6) Remove fx_red/green wing tip lights as they are modeled in gmax-Done

7) Gear Drag may be too low: increased by 40% to test (not included in air file attachment above)

8) Panels: Pitot and Cabin Lights not labeled on panel texture

9) FSX Transparency issues in cockpit: Black alphas changed to white

10) Stall Light: partial on bmp

11) Gen#1 Switch animation incorrect - goes up only halfway

12) Window glare could be brightened

13) Roll vs Rudder (Yaw) - Cl_dr: should be more neutral; Elevator sensitivity may be a bit high

14) FSX Mouse overs seem problematic: Will investigate, no issue seen here in SP2 Accel DX9 - ensure your viewpoint is not in the seat or headrest. EDIT: I was wrong (had old version in FSX), mouseable issues will be corrected.

15) FSX: Some VC textures on switches and metalware could be improved.

i'm on leave, i can just stick my head out the hangar door every time i see one of you lot coming to pick the thing up or fly it around and swear at you all for being able to fly when i'm stuck decorating and maintaining my hangar, oh and signing for the parts for Nigels Engine Shed... on that Engine Shed note... Nigel you did remember to order the ouz.... i mean fuel containers didn't you? :icon_lol:
 
Ahh yes...Nigel. Beyond the secret stuff..(amazing-amazing-amazing)...the '57's textures far outstrip the screenshots when viewed in the first person. Brilliant work, you're certainly raising the bar with this one.

Hmmm....Ouzo for the eyes...?
 
Beta Testers,

I failed to include this attached fx light in the package. Just add it to your effects folder.

Also, in teh Lights section of the aircraft.cfg. change light.7 to use the default fx_vclight as shown:

light.7 = 4, 3.519, 0, 3.560, fx_vclight,

I thought the fx_vclight_red was a default and did not include it, but I guess not.
