Iran's first stealth fighter.....?

The reason it looks to small for the pilot is the only one qualed to fly is there one and only astronaut and he is real small.

As mentioned before, I do think this is real, at least in the sense that the photographed object exists. However, to me this resembles more of a scale mock up. It is entirely possible that they can build and are building a fighter with a similar design to this model. If they did build this aircraft it would be difficult to estimate its ability to avoid radar, because as far as I know, no one knows if it is covered in radar absorbant skin. To my untrained eye this aircraft doesn't look like it would handle well with that strange wing set up, but I am not an aeronautical engineer.
As an offtopic note, I do believe that we always need to be wary of our potential enemies, and that we need not underestimate their industrial and technological capabilities. For example I would not be surprised to see the Chinese stealth fighter enter production sooner that the 10-15 year estimate that I have heard thrown around by some people. The day that allied nations cease to develope newer, better weapons platform because we do not believe that other countries are capable of producing machines that could be equally as deadly is the day that we will be in for a nasty surprise. Even if other countries lack some of the technology we possess, sheer numbers can overwhelm superior quality, lower numbered equipment; as demonstrated by the Soviets in WWII.

Now China I do worry about. As far as Iran goes not so much. Though having them build a nuke or worse a dirty bomb that does worry me.

CWOJackson ,
I don't have CFS1. Bummer...

Stealthy enough???

Jesting aside, IRAN might be capable of building a basic combat aircraft with 'Foreign' assistance.
But I agree, the Nuclear threat is more probable, and that option might be removed by a certain overly 'Militant' power in the region.

I wouldn't discount the Iranian's ability to build a stealth fighter. Maybe not from scratch...but with a little help from their allies and some impressive reverse engineering, who knows? They still have their US sourced aircraft flying to this day, including some F-14's (probably with a little help from the Chinese), despite a spare parts embargo.

Also..I believe their nuclear processing plants are deep underground, immune from conventional munitions. Unless the IAF were willing to use a small nuke to take the plant(s) out!

The whole thing looks questionable to me. It looks too small to "carry" any kind of effective weapon. The airframe looks like it would "struggle" to maintain effective lift. Apparently, the pilot must be the main payload. Just looks a little too far fetched to me, but maybe it does fly. Who knows?
