• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category Prepar 3D / P4D Add-Ons

Description: Textures for the RAAF's two DHC-3 Otters.

These aircraft were bought from De Havilland Canada in kit form, then assembled at Bankstown, Australia. Power units were taken from leftover stock after CAC Wirraway production ceased.

The aircraft, serials A100-390 and -392 served with No.1 Air Trials Unit - a predecessor of the modern ARDU, based at RAAF Edinburgh between 1961-67, before being transferred to the Weapons Research Unit at Woomera - which was operating in support of the British nuclear testing program.

After a short period of RAAF operations, the aircraft were sold to Short Brothers, who operated them on a government contract until 1980, registered VH-UPL, and VH-UPM.

Both aircraft were crated and shipped to Canada at the end of the contract, and -392 was still flying in 2013.

These textures were created using the JF paint kit and tested in P3D v4. They should work perfectly well in FSX and earlier versions of the P3D product.

Thanks to Bazzar for his help and patience.

For Pat.
