'Kasey Kahne On The Pole At Darlington'

I should add one thing....
Though Kyle may get fined/penalized for his act, the bottom line is that as I said before, Kyle's "act" was a re-action to a Harvick action....

'Bout time someone stood up to Harvick....

'NASCAR' is just the automotive pits when it comes to on track discipline and manners.

Of course, I understand the great unwashed love that 'Ringside with the Wrestlers' behaviour.
And yes, we did watch the entire shooting match.

The bad behaviour off track almost matched the crap behaviour on track.

Plus the 'We'll get him another time' radio remark to a grumpy driver from his supposed 'Crew Chief' should be grounds for a lengthy suspension.

Hey All,

Panther you are just having such a hard time with this. Let me put it simply - the actions of Harvick are NO justification for what Busch did. No justification whatsoever. You don't endanger other people just to save yourself.

Nope,
You are the one having the hard time here....And judging by the responses in this thread, I'm not the only who sees things in favor of Kyle....If you can't see that "it takes two tango", then we'll have to disagree here...

Again, Kyle's action wasn't done out of the blue - it was a re-action to a Harvick action.(i.e. Harvick's attempt to punch Kyle out)...Harvick attempted to get physical with Kyle....It appears to me that you support the physical violence that Harvick tried to do to Kyle ....And speaking of innocent people, Harvick also threatened Kyle's entire crew who had no part in the melee whatsoever! Harvick is damn lucky that Kyle's crew didn't pulverize him!

When you can see that it takes two to tango & that Harvick is by no means innocent, then I'll be able to see your point of view...

Hey All,

Panther you need to actually go through my posts and read them. At no point did I say Harvick did nothing wrong at no point did I say he was in the right nor did I say I'm a fan of Harvick. What I said was Busch chose in his cowardice to endanger peoples safety on pit road by spinning an empty driverless car and for that needs to be sanctioned. The lie about not having reverse just adds to the illustration of his character - he did not lose reverse in the previous 40 odd seconds. Each and every moment of the whole string of events was a decision point and Busch sitting in the car thought of and chose to endanger people - he even admitted it. That is wrong and that is what you can't seem to understand.

Make no mistake about it Harvick went after Busch and Busch alone and did not endanger other pedestrians on pit road. Rightly or wrongly Harvick called Busch out and Busch ran while endangering others - simple as that. If Busch is going to take on Harvick he should at least have the guts to face him - either that or not mess with him in the first place. Your post saying that Busch stood up to Harvick is just not so - Busch ran while using a car as a weapon - and all of NASCAR nation saw it.

EasyEd,
You're still not getting it...

OF COURSE KYLE WILL BE PENALIZED, FINED, SUSPENDED OR ALL 3!!!!! (Judgement here by NASCAR is an "easy kill")

The true test of NASCAR's resolve & how fair they are will be determined by their treatment of Harvick....Kyle is already at a disadvantage here since RCR has a much better relationship with NASCAR than Joe Gibbs....If Harvick gets through this whole ordeal squeaky clean, then I will have lost all faith in NASCAR....As I said before, this was a 2 person incident, not one....

Well yes, "it" was a "two person incident", but mostly "it" was "racin deals" and "boyz-av-addit" under green. Kyle's BS story about not having reverse gear and having "no choice" but to do what he did is really lame. Note to Kyle: If you're that afraid of a driver that you have to drive through parked cars to run away, perhaps it's a bad idea to hook that driver's car into the wall at 180 mph, because he'll probably want to punch you in the nose after the race! :icon_lol:

whats obvious to me here in this..is easy ed hates busch and wont accept anything he does as ok....period...jayski page says he may get a 5000 dollar fine and probation ( they say nothing of that fool Harvick)but what ive read on this thread is pure and blatant hatered of kyle busch...easy ed will never bend or give into anything kyles done...they said all weekend that David Pierson was the bes darlington had ever seen..yet david pierson and bud moore BOTH predicted kyle would be the sports grreatest drive ever...yes dale lovers...even better than the dales....

before dale earndhart died...they would do polls amoung the active drivers as to who was the best driver...they werent fan votes..and almost unainomously (sp) David pierson won...yes he beat Petty and daleboi..wasnt who was most popular...wasnt prettiest...was who was the best.......Kyle would win today too!!!!!!!!!

Hey All,

I don't hate Kyle - don't like him for sure but hate is too strong a word. What I do not believe should be tolerated in any way shape or form is drivers who put pit crew members other drivers and pedestrians in danger on pit road by deliberately hitting and moving parked cars. That needs to be punished. Harvick did not step on the gas in the 18 and hit the driverless 29 - Kyle did - that is the difference.

Make no mistake about it Pearson was the best ever - he only tried to win the championship 4 times by running the full season and won it 3 of those times. That is winning the Championship 75% of the times you even try. Jimmy is above 50% nobody else is close. You judge the best ever by what they produce and achieve - Kyle is woefully lacking. A fancy dan move on the track don't mean squat if it doesn't get you anything. Every driver out there can wiggle the wheel. Results are what count. Results are what the history books record.

If you want to theorize about what driver could do magical things with a car on the track well Kyle Busch isn't good enough to even be considered in the same breath as Tim Richmond or Davey Allison for that matter.

We'll see if Kyle ever measures up to anything - maybe he will but he'll have to earn it - he didn't on Saturday.

Friday night may prove interesting. Both Kyle and Kevin are in the truck race. But on the other hand NASCAR may have scared them into behaving.

Harvick -Busch fined, probation: per a Kevin Harvick tweet: "4 weeks probation and $25,000 fine....I understand because of the car on pit road.." And from ESPN.com: Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch were placed on four weeks' probation and fined $25,000 Tuesday for their pit road confrontation following Saturday night's Sprint Cup race at Darlington Raceway. Harvick tweeted about his penalty and officials from Kevin Harvick Inc. confirmed the punishment Tuesday.
AND NASCAR has penalized NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick as a result of rules infractions committed at last weekend's event at Darlington Raceway. Busch, driver of the #18 car, and Harvick, driver of the #29 car, have each been fined $25,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship points events until June 15 for violating Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing involved in an altercation on pit road after the conclusion of the race). "These penalties are a result of what occurred on pit road after the race was over," said Kerry Tharp, senior director for communications, competition. "They are about maintaining a safe environment on pit road."(NASCAR)(5-10-2011)
