• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Thanks Dominique, the PatWing 10 Catalinas were evacuated from Cavite, first to the Dutch East Indies, then to Australia. Three Cats were destroyed during the Darwin air raid and another two in Broome.

They were PBY-4 variants. The VB Cat looks like a PBY-5A.

Just for information, the P-35A in the download screenshot can be found here: http://www.rbdesign.se/flygplan.html while its 17th PS skin is here: https://sim-outhouse.org/sohforums/resources/17th-ps-p-35-repaint-zip.18413/

Although the aircraft was made for FS2004, it flies well in CFS2. I added a modified DP from the Chuck Selby CFS2 version of Paul Clawson's FS2002 P-35A to suit the extra machine guns in the wings.

Yes Kev,

I'm guessing why you used the VP22 skin for Shessis PBY-2 (passable as a PBY-4)...;)

Yes John, Shessi's PBY-2 is a beauty.

I wasn't sure exactly when VP-21/VP-101's Cats were repainted with the camouflage scheme or if they were all repainted. In the article on the Pacific Neutrality Patrol which you provided with the VP-101 skin, there is a picture showing one camouflaged aircraft with the old wing diagonal stripes showing through.
