'Kenseth=P1 - Ambrose=P2 @ Vegas'

Don't look anything like a Mustang either! How about Danika's 4th place finish in the Nationwide race? Sweet, eh.

And I was so happy when Bad Brad's tire went down and "old" Mark Martin won the race. :applause::applause:

Hey All,

Hmm where to start?.....

1) What is this P1 P2 "stuff"? This is America - this is NASCAR! It's called Pole and outside Pole (front row outside front row)- ever hear DW or Larry Mac say P1 P2? Jeez lose the open wheel lingo. Jus sayin...

2) Kyle got "learned" - doin that fancy top to the bottom of the track move cost him. Brad K probably didn't see him - probably  ... The krappy part was Kyles "move" cost Jennifer Jo big time - Thanks Kyle. :frown:

3) Danica - great job - 4th - I give 50/50 odds she wins a race this year. Major Congrats to Johnny Benson Danica's personal driving coach.

4) Mark well he can win all the races he wants long as it is never a Cup. Chances aren't bad Jimmie would have 6 now if it weren't for Mark.

5) Brad did just fine getting third.

6) Cut it out Robby - you represent Dodge now!

Just a couple observations... Till tomorrow.

Sorry EasyEd but if NASCAR is gonna' go global, then ya' better get used to hearing "P1/P2"...Next thing you know, you'll be saying it's third and outside third instead of P3/P4...:bump:

Yep, Kyle did a bone-head move and to be frank, I was surprised to see that thinking that I thought he had matured some....

What was Kyle thinking? Maybe he wasn't, just instinct driving. Either way, it ended his day and unfortunately Jennifer Jo's day as well. Dannica is certainly improving in the stock car racing arena. Her first season was pretty bad, but so far, this season has been a 100% improvement.

back to todays race,,,anyone notice where the "great one" is starting?.....HAHAHAHAHA........i crack myself up.....

Ed, at least Kyle admitted to his bonehead move and took the fault. Try getting that out of one of the bonehead moves Dale Sr. or Cale Yarbourgh made in their careers. I once attended an NMPA (National Motorsports Press Association) roast for Cale in Charlotte right after he retired. It was a memorable event, laughed my arse off. Benny Parsons was the host. Every driver from the past you could name still alive was there. Benny said he wanted to take an unusual poll, because he thought it would be easier to count the hands. He asked all the old drivers, "Who among you have never been taken out of a race by Cale Yarbourgh?" Not one hand went up. :icon_lol: The entire room went mad in laughter, Cale included.

Hey All,

1) The big concern for me about Vegas is 4 FR9 engines in the first four spots and 5 in the top 6 spots. In the top 10 are 5 Fords 3 Toyotas and only 2 Chevy's. As I've said last year Toyota had the engine advantage all year this year it looks like Ford. Time for a rule change?

2) Nice shout out to Wendell Scott at the Las Vegas race and on NASCAR Raceday this morning. It was 50 years ago Wendell first raced in NASCAR. He won his one and only race in 1964. The trophy was awarded 19 years after his death in 90.

3) Kenny Wallace said it "Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart are the two greatest drivers in the history of NASCAR" (paraphrased but accurate). Make of it what you will.

4) Danica's 4th is the highest finish by a woman in the history of the top series NASCAR. WTG Danica!

5) Tony Stewart is gonna drive Lewis Hamiltons car at Watkins Glen and Lewis is gonna try driving the 14. I believe Adrian Newey is putting Rancho 4x4 suspension on it. :bump:

6) P1 P2 sounds like different ways of going to the bathroom to me. :bump:

Hey All,

. Time for a rule change?

-Ed-

If anything,
Time for the others to do their homework.......Rule changes for parity upsets me most about NASCAR.....No one asked for a "rule change" when Johnson and Gordon were running 1-2 for years....unless EasyEd, you want NASCAR to come out with the "engine of tomorrow" program and do as they did with the bodies and have everyone drive the same engine....Wait a minute, then we'd have IROC....;)

Ed, Wendell and my father both passed away on the same evening, December 23, 1990. They were both the same age and good friends, my dad owned a roofing and sheet metal shop and would fabricate metal for Wendell. Before Wendell became too feeble to move, he came down to my father's hospital room in October of that year and they talked until each were too tired to go on. Two old men, the same age (Wendell was a year younger), talking Navy and racing and laughing, both dying of cancer. Some things I can't forget.

Congrats To Carl Edwards For The Win!!

And good racing from Stewart & Montoya who finished 2nd & 3rd..,:jump:

GOOOOOOOO carl........and you hear tony whine..how did we lose that???...well it was bob osbourne and a good pit call..got carl out in 6.some seconds....

loved the story about bob telling carl he would be unavalible for a few...carl waits 50 or 60 seconds..about the time it took to get to the porta-poty and then carl..all excited gets on the radio and hollars "Ive got to pit !!!"...thats the crap i used to do......lol...iimm go tell a story in newshawks on that sortaline...LOL..

Pits and blown tires were the story of today's race, a good one for Las Vegas. Smoke had the car, but was out called on that last pit stop. Denny did well to come from the rear of the field for a 7th place finish. Love the new points system

Yep Cazz...
You could tell by the interview that Stewart was pissed.......McReynolds and Waltrip had it correct though....the penalty ultimately killed Stewart's day.....
