ISAF... Nutters

Mad bit of filming too. Still - it does point out one big big problem with flying low. It's the same one the RAF had while training Saudi pilots in the late 80s (and even before). They too would fly low to demonstrate their skills and were wondering how and why the Saudis were scoring "Hits" in mock combat scenarios. The RSAF pilots were always getting a "good kill" against low RAF airplanes. In fact even ground gunnery was "killing" the RAF.

The answer was simple...

"You see my friend, we may have wonderful radar that can be fooled by your flying low, but you cannot fool our eyes. You leave a big arrow of sand pointing right at your plane when you fly so low. All we do is aim at the tip of that sandy arrow. It is so obvious that even our ground gunnery can see you if he is up the side of a mountain..."

Yeah, but you can't enjoy the scenery when you're flying that fast. I prefer this method.

You mean like a little girl who once said to her pilot father before he was going to his job. "Daddy remember then to fly slow and low".
