Linux Config Override Issues

I haven't heard of anyone running CFS3 in Linux, but there is a gotcha in cfs3config where, having set the overrides you want, you have to exit via File/Exit or the changes won't be saved. I have no idea if this will help, but give it a try.

I tried this but it doesn't work it always resets

I’m afraid Linux is like another country to me - I’m sure everything works there but it works differently from what I’m used to.

sadly, basically what happens is I'll update the settings and nothing changes in it regardless if I press exit or not. I open the game and configoverrides.xml gets deleted in my appdata folder

Try running the cfs3config as the rootadmin of your Linux installation. Linux is pretty headstrong when it comes to permissions.

do you know the command for rootadmin in Fedora? I tried looking up what you meant and got nothing
No sorry, I don't. I've done some work on Linux servers a long time ago, but pretty basic stuff.

But the question that comes to mind is, did you make a root account when installing it? BTW, just found this: In Fedora, the root account is locked and disabled by default.

For my system it asks you if you want to set your password as the roots password which I did
