I am sure that their "artists" can do a bang up job on the visuals. I am more interested in seeing how realistic the operation is and especially the flight dynamics. I am never optimistic when I see the term "game" used.

I hope I won't sound too much negative here, but that addon has been announced quite a while ago if I'm not mistaken... yet the visuals in the video have not really impressed me at all.
Not to mention the complete absence of interior views...
Of course I write this hoping my view is totally wrong, given it's Microprose, but still, these visuals aren't really helping so far...

Apologies, I meant to post this here too as 2024 is my primary sim of choice, got distracted with my hearing aids developing gremlins!

I've been really looking forward to the MicroProse B-17G - they've been using some of the foremost B-17 experts from both the US and UK in creating the model and textures to be 100% accurate to a late-production B-17G, and it's just amazing how they've been able to model the entire interior, nose to tail, in such fantastic and accurate detail. Not only getting the modeled details right, but also the primers, paints and lack there of (most of the interior of an original and authentic B-17 is bare metal). It is encouraging that they've also, at least once, mentioned including detailed systems-depth, but likely not included with the initial release, which sounds like it will be an early access beta. The soundset has been recorded from the Commemorative Air Force's B-17G 'Sentimental Journey' - the same B-17 used to record sounds from for the miniseries "Masters of the Air".

These are just a limited number of the development shots that MicroProse has shared in recent months of their MSFS B-17G, as it has progressed.

Coming from a graphics and animation house I would expect. high standard visually. I can only hope that they can make it fly equally as well. This would be outside their usual areas of knowledge.
