Now for a night on the town...

Laying over in Paris has its rewards. A quick stop at the Folies Bergère and then a lovely evening sampling the gastronomic and artistic pleasures of Montmartre. Now we're off to Milan. A splendid sophisticated city lies ahead.

As it happens, we have a bunch of football supporters of AC Milan in the back. They're all excited by the team's runner-up status last year—after forty years of frustration. From the track record of their club, they are just incurably optimistic. A hard look indicates that there is no future for their team.

Sorry Mike , peer pressure from HQ :( I hope we meet up in Lisbon for a few drinks , I have a couple of days rest there :) I will be staying staying at the Pestana Palace ( quite a nice Hotel ;) )

Wow, Bry, that looks delightful...will have to take some time and explore the city. New to me.

Down safely. Ran into ferocious and unexpected winds. Took a while to cross the dramatic Spanish plains while nervously watching the fuel situation. All turned out well in the end.

Looking forward to a wee bit of spirits and a hot bath. Then off to find Bry.

Fuel Consumed: 10978.5

Having to stick with the "Senior Simulator" as the L-1049G is not yet reliable in the "Junior" environs. (A shakedown flight lost access to the flight engineer controls. Will have the gang continue to work on this.)

Off to the sentimental favorite, Casablanca Anfa (GMMC).

TOW: 116.881
Payload: 29771

Down safely through the thick hazy skies of Casablanca. Must be all those Camels, Luckies, and Gitannes going up in smoke.

Thinking now this route would have been a two for one special for me as I've been wanting to get some more time in this part of the world,,,,looks like fun.

Oh yeah,,,,was looking again at the you tube vids (thanks again) and noticed Arthur making a "plug" for Chesterfield cigarettes.

He never did break out the ol' ukulele.....;)

Going to give the junior simulator a try on this short route.

Following Saint-Exupéry from Casablanca to Agadir.

TOW: 115,274
Payload: 29,771

(Going to follow Jeff's lead with some posters...)

Into Agadir. Flight uneventful as descended past the fingers of the Atlas Mountains. When they disappeared into the thick clouds...well everything turned out nicely enough.

(Used ASA Real Wx with FSX. Still learning how to please the Duenna.)

Landing Weight: 112170.9
Fuel Burned: 3073.2
Flight Time: 01:00:39

Following along Saint-Exupéry's 1931 Aéropostale route along the coast. Heading from Agadir to desolate Port-Étienne (now Nouadhibou) in l'O.A.F. (French West Africa). Not the "racing line" but following orders from Paris, you understand.

Taking the junior simulator...

Long trip along the desert coastline.
