More TP, bushflying

TileProxy has opened up a whole new way to explore FS9. I just pick a random airport, load up Destination Finder (great freeware), and take off.

here's a short trip at a random location in Montana.

Feng, you should pop over to the Arond the Wolrd Multiplayer forum and try out the little Idaho challenge there... good test of TP, I'd think

Hello,
looking good !
Just asking - despite maxing out my graphic settings in FS2004 (9), this landscape of yours looks much more real, and really great - how do you do that ?
Thanks and greetings,
Catfish

Great shots Feng, I just started using this in FSX and am loving it, I even had to refuel during my last flight because I wanted to see what was around the next corner, this was around Lake Mead and then around Monument Valley Utah, it's just amazing that I actually get the feeling that I'm there. Thanks for the shots! I'll be trying this in FS9 next! :applause::ernae:

hey bananabob! yeah, this software is just amazing. It completely changes the flightsim to something new; plus i love the fact that you can just turn it on and off as you wish (for jets and faster stuff, i turn off TP).

To answer the question above. TileProxy basically retrieves real satellite images and uses them as textures for FS9/FSX; thus the result is photoreal (and extremely detailed/high res if you fly in certain areas such as a major city). The only drawbacks are that it lacks seasons/autogen/and night. What you see is what the last image the satellite caught. However, it just looks amazing.

Here are some more shots from southern Calif...

Great shots Feng!

Whats cool is you can actually explore the terrain, like find housing area's, stores, parks, houses... If you have always wanted to see Silverton Colorado, you can fly around and check out the town in what seems like a real model, being able to see all the side streets, trails around the town, even car junk yards, lol.. So much more to see, more adventures.

I agree Feng, this totally makes FS new all over again. TP and TrackIR are necessities for the real flight simmer...
