    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Finally tired of waiting to build up a new box. My current work laptop died (Dell Inspiron 17R), so thought, damn it - go for (almost) broke, so just ordered a Metabox (Clevo) P750ZM - 15.6 screen :- i7-4790K CPU, Nvidia GTX970M 6Mbm GPU, 16G DDR3 RAM, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB M.2 SATA 3 SSD for main programs, I've got another 850 Evo 500Gb to slot in the No. 1 HDD slot and a 7200rpm, 1Tb HDD being fitted in the second HDD bay for bulk storage. I'll run it on Win7 Pro at the moment. Have a 24" gaming monitor as well.

Thought about going Skylake with DDR4 RAM, and an i7-6700K, but it would have worked out at about 30% more all up, so....I can always replace the CPU with a i7-5 series if need be - not that I think it'll be necessary. Also a GTX980m GPU, but - an extra $400 - I don't think so!

It's more of a mobile desktop, than a laptop, (about 3.1Kg) plus the power pack, but, I figure that should keep me functional for a while. Probably overkill to run CFS2, FS9, Grand Prix Legends and FSX, but.........until I get around to finishing my brand new 2011 desktop...............
