• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

New Server Process Has Begun

The new server process has begun, over the next 7 days all our files will be in a state of moving and at times we will be rebooting and perhaps a crash or two. Be Patient, as I will not be available to answer your questions. Our files and scripts have been backed up just in-case of lightning striking.
May I ask to refrain from uploading because the files may not make it to the new server if you upload them after that section has been moved. We have a lot of files and this will take some time to do. Due to server loads I may have to shut down the FTP's (downloading).

Thanks for all that you, and all the SOH staff, do to keep this place up and running. I have been to a number of other sim forums, and found them lacking. SOH/Combatfs is my simming home. This site is just comfortable..if you know what I mean.

I hope all goes well with your upcoming heart cath and by-pass/stint procedure...will be praying for a successful surgery and a speedy and complete recovery.

Many thanks Ickie. I once maintained servers to pay my bills, and I have experienced the bad server transition. You have my respect for all this work.
