• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

[SIZE=-1] FS2004 Howards Mix Trees. Howard Mix Trees are part of a soon to be released major FS2004 texture upgrade which will move FS2004 default graphics into the new computing age. It was decided to release the trees early as a preview. See the screenshots in the documentation for full graphics There are two main reasons for the program, one is to help those less fortunate but dedicated simmers world wide who can't afford to upgrade their hardware to FSX standards until prices fall in 2 to 3 years time. The other is a lot of very good virtual pilots do not have the ability to upgrade FS using freeware zip file from the net, so Howard Mix is very very user friendly. By Howard Smith.[/SIZE]

Ahhh, you beat me to it. I'm just getting ready to test them out.

They're not too bad. I'll test them out a bit longer. Move to different areas and such to see the differences. I just hop I can go back if I end up not liking them.
 
FYI-these are the notes from Howards Mix Trees:

Tec Stuff
There are 4 different versions and one to restore Microsofts Default Trees
The install is a stand alone program and installed onto C: drive
The 4 tree set can be easily accessed from TREES SWAP in the Start, All Programs
Try the different qualities with or without Birds, it is save to run and over write
Once happy with a selection uninstall the icon program to free disc space, this will leave the trees of your choice in Flightsim
Please Defrag your drive after and give a little time To settle down
I also recommend periodically using a registry cleaner there are some good freeware ones on the net which I use.

I've got the settings at "Normal Quality with birds

I've tried them all. I'll be honest. I uninstalled it and went back to default.

Mainly due to it not fitting for the area I live in.

Oops....sorry. I am running at stock settings. No UT or GEP
