Nicky Hayden seriously injured.

I was going to pick up road cycling based on how many of my fav racers do it. I'll stick to the mountain bike and scraps/bruises. Really good to see the out-pouring of support on social media despite most American's that don't follow any form of motorsports having no clue who he is.

I've been following this closely since I first heard the news.
A very bad situation indeed and one that is grossly unfair on just about the nicest MotoGP/WSBK racer I've ever met.
I just hope that if the worst case scenario occurs his family do what is best for Nicky.

Sadly Nicky passed away today, just 35 years old:

I will certainly miss his easy going and friendly personality in the paddock!
Nicky was one of the best ambassadors for Motorcycle racing and a thoroughly nice bloke.
Smooth roads and fast sweepers Nicky.
