Great shot Roger, glad to see the grass is behaving, lol. Roger, can you give a general rundown of your settings for DX10? It would be handy to have when I'm testing early work. When I loaded DX10, antialiasing was off and it sure doesn't have the smooth look that yours does. . .heck even my normal setup for FSX/Accel doesn't look that good, lol.

Got a feeling that Jenny repaint was one of Paul's?

Ed, Antialiasing is on as is Anisotropic in FsX. The FsX.cfg is pretty much the same as in Dx9 but Nvidia Inspector settings are quite different for Dx10. I limit fps in FsX at 30 and use the vsync settings in Inspector (half refresh rate). I'll post the Nvidia settings a little later. To top it off I have Steve Parsons Dx10 Scenery fixer loaded which as well as making legacy objects more likely to show in Dx10 also cures many FsX objects that still have some Fs9 materials in them (and there are quite a few, lol).

Thanks for the great scenery Ed and GAS!

Great, Thanks Roger. I may try to give DX10 another shot if I can get it looking halfway decent. Glad you're enjoying the scenery.

Great Scenery Ed! The photoreal background blends very nicely with the surrounding area and the work on the objects is fantastic. I took these before I realized about scenery complexity so some buildings are not showing. I also have DX10 on with Steve's fixer. I keep AA to 4x only for performance reasons so you can see some jaggies in the pics. It is better in motion.

Top notch work Ed and GAS team!

Great Scenery!

I circled in red an area that shimmers when moving about.

Thanks Dimus! Settings need to be at "Dense" or higher and you have a previous version. The tacky looking grass is no longer in the current version.

Thank you falcon409 and GAS for making a really nice scenery. Enjoy flying the older planes there.
The static aircraft are a real plus. :applause:
BTW, are the trees programed to turn to fall colors, they look really nice.

Glad you're enjoying it Gray Eagle. Yes, the vegetation is seasonal and will change accordingly as will the ground texture, although that may be a subtle change. There is a winter ground texture and night texture as well, so if you dare (no rwy lights as ORA has no night operations) you can land there at night also.:salute:

Wow....what a fantastic job Ed!!

Very grateful indeed.....thank you Ed and GAS.

Captures the feel of the place in an artistic way an all-time fav already.

Thank you Ed and GAS for this superb recreation of Old Rhinebeck. It used to be one of my favorite stomping-grounds back in FS9 with the old Joe Binka scenery, and now it has become so again. I love how high-def all of the textures are throughout the scenery - some excellent backgrounds throughout (on the ground and in the air), for screenshots! I've also noticed it to be very immersive, flying in and out of the airfield, with the fantastic scale, detail, colors, and population of the trees and airfield landmarks and objects.

Here are just a minor selection from some recent flights.

Although its been a while, I seem to recall reading at one point that someone once visited the airfield with a Wildcat (and perhaps a Texan/SNJ on a few occasions), so I had to try it out. Not a problem, and just as I recall reading, you just have to be aware of the definite dogleg to the right when rolling-out.

(Probably the most interesting screenshot of the bunch, below - the camera was positioned well away from the aircraft, providing this very telescopic view).

I also should note that I've had a blast chasing down the New Standard on my flights in the Fokker Dr.I and Albatros D.III. ; )
