"OldHangar" 3D artist

Blimey!! At first i didn't even know what i was looking at! :dizzy:

After the shock though i think he must tremendously love to 'just' digitally model aeroplanes in order to 'just' take screenshots. Not care about the fuzz and all restrictions that come with that sort of thing to make 'em virtually fly. A waste of extraordinairy workmanship ??... I don't think so, can't stop looking at these screenies and be amazed ! Holy Moly !! :biggrin-new: :applause:

Thanks for the link, Seahawk ! :encouragement:

cheers,
jan

I caught hold of him over a Military-Meshes.com. He did a fantastic B-58 model!

I'd say!

:jawdrop:

3.600000 polies..... Put that in FSX and we'll have a frame every half hour.... :dizzy::biggrin-new:

Manuel Flemming, your inspiration guy, isn't wasting any time either, is he..... Sjeeezzz!! An honest bloody amateur'ish digital FSX modeler would almost think about throwing in the towel and take up bonsai tree cultivation... Then again let these multi-million-polies-masters create something we can fly around here and we'll see. :)

Thanks for these links, Ted. Totally amazing ! ( absolutely ADORE that Dakota model !! )

cheers,
jan

Another awesome modeler is Witold Jaworski who wrote the book on modeling aircraft in Blender. He believes in using nothing but freeware programs.

The research he does is outstanding! None of these models will fly in a sim, but reproducing them as real as possible in the 3d universe is something to be held.

The work of these 3D artists it really stunning. There models are both beautiful, but also useless for games. Long ago I had contact with Wiek Luijken ( https://www.luijken.com/ ) whether he was able to do a low poly model of his Fokker G.1, but the gap between these high poly models and the low poly for games is just way too big.

But still these models are true pieces of art.

Huub
