JT (Bomber12th) did a Lulu Belle for the Flight Replicas 'Early' P-40. It's probably in the library here and/or at Flightsim.com

Yeah, if you have the Flight Replicas FSX P-40N, you can find a repaint I did for that one here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=180&linkid=17888

BTW, this aircraft (the real one) was recently sold and is currently on its way (by shipping container) to its new owner in Troutdale, Oregon. I hope its new owner keeps it in these (fully researched, superbly executed, and interesting) markings, and doesn't go down the "cliche" route of repainting it with yet another shark mouth.

I still remember having a lot of fun doing this repaint and trying to get all of the details right, down to the accuracy of the medium green blotches on the wings and tail surfaces, the differences in the scull artwork on either side of the nose, and of course the different artwork on each of the wheel covers.

I agree with you on the new owner hopefully not repainting this bird! Looks like I'll be moving on to a Flight Replicas P-40 and retiring my Iris freeware version! (I do like their Me-262!) This paint is stunning! Do you know if anyone has done Sue Parish's pink P-40N? I know men shouldn't fly pink planes, but she was a super lady and it would be cool to fly "her" plane!

nice John, thanks for the info, and great paint.here is an interview done by Travis's Uncle Jimmy of his great uncle .pretty funny story,as well as gripping.we just watched it,Travis had heard about it but,had never heard it from his great uncle..was cool.

and shows the true bravery of this generation.

Josh, I think member Zsoltquack *may* have done a repaint of the Parish P-40, that wasn't released, so you might want to check with him. The FR P-40N is one of the models that I still have a number of repaints I'd like to do for it (I only ever got around to releasing three).

Dave, thank you so much for sharing that video! Accounts like these, as told by the original veterans that lived it, is always remarkable to hear. I'm always amazed by the details they remembered, and their bravery, usually stemming simply from wanting to protect their buddies and not let them down.

(BTW, I saw on Facebook a few weeks back, that the Dwelle family Sea Fury had its first high-speed taxi test on June 2nd. It should be getting ready to fly just about any day now.)

what facebook page on dewlle's sea fury?.....BTW im an idiot too.i saw a plane i didnt reqognise and had thought it was the sea fury, but it was the dewelle families AT-6..well one of them, all dolled up in new paint.....sheeeeze any way i got my little electric ca fixed now,and am planing a trip to the airport maybe saturday...maybe ill catch em with the sea fury outside....lol...fat chance eh?..

Hey Dave, just a note to say that according to the WIX forum, the Dwelle Sea Fury flew yesterday. Took off from Auburn and flew over to Ione (where the Sanders Sea Fury restorers are located) and back to Auburn.

Figures,i wonder if any times are /were recorded.i did hear a couple of radial engined planes taking off yesterday.as ive said before,im directly under the flight path for taking off from 25,or landing on 07.well mayber not directly..but they come over the mobile all day.there is a left turn rule and theyre supposed to make the turn before they get to SR49 ,most dont though.
