P-47 Wee Three

jankees

SOH-CM-2025
For the WoP P-47D-30: 324th FG/ 316th FS #83 "wee three", which was shot down by a Me-109 on 19 march 1945. The pilot, Jack Yowell was on his 64th mission. He bailed out, but his parachute didn't open.

..and while I was at it, I thought I might as well paint a razorback in the colors of the 316th FS...

Beautiful Jug paint jankees. I'll be lookin for this paint. The Jug is the only WW2 Ac I have with over 37 paints for. I only wish someone would paint the Cuban Jug. I'll for Dl this paint.:jump:

I'm glad you like them. I painted "Wee Three" for the pilot's brother, and since it's called "wee THREE", here's a final third of the 316th.
BTW, I never tried the bubbletop in FSX, does it work?

I received a request from Jerry Wurmser if I could paint his aircraft too. He flew #86 "Black Sheep". Apparently, the tail assembly of this aircraft was so out of line that he had to apply constant rudder correction and it had to carry an extra fuel tank and one bomb less because it got such bad mileage...

Here's black sheep, and a few pics of the entire flight.

I'm still waiting for comments from Jerry on his aircraft, #86, but the three baremetal aircraft have been uploaded today.
Happy flying, and let me know what you think....
