I wrestled a copy of that airport and it works swimmingly well in P3D V5.

From reading the PDF install manual it looks like this scenery was for P3D V3 but I managed to put add it to P3D V5 and seems okay.

Cees, I didn't mean to be critical, I'm sure if it really flies they engineered it right, just saying it looks odd is all.
A small prop turning very quickly can produce the same thrust as a larger prop turning more slowly, plus, as it's a Naval plane, a small prop fits into a tightly packed hangar on a carrier better. In addition, it is a turbo-prop engine so you also get a bit of extra thrust from the jet engine exhausts.
