I think i have to really tone down my more or less hars comment above regarding the Red Wing Connie. Only excuse might be that the tests i did with the initial model and one of the first updates are already from a year ago if not more ( in MSFS2020 ) and that i kinda lost interest in it. I followed your comment above and loaded my FS2020 version into FS2024 and must say i was quite surprised with what i saw ! My mouth fell open a bit already viewing the model in the 2024 hangar ( where did the abillity go to view a model in the 360 degrees aspect ?..).The current Connie seems to work okay in FS2024, though I've only done quick circuits with it. Redwing said a native FS2024 conversion is planned later this year.
I did already know that the external model is quite well done with a few quirks here and there to iron out ( the vibration/shaking of the prop hubs gives this otherwise majestic looking Super Connie immidiately a cheapish appearance. I'd say do away with the animation and replace with a static hub, the spinning props will give the illusion that the hubs are spinning too), but looking at it now here in the 2024 hangar Wow!! Sure didn't expect that !
In case of the Connie you might have a good point there, Denny. ;-) I had a quick look at the Connie version from probabely more than a year ago in MSFS2024 and was much more impressed than i thought i would be. I'll certainly do some serious testing now and and see if i can find more updates. One thing i noticed already is that there must be a problem with the sound, particularly internal. I'll look into it (try it in 2020 again).Love your enthusiasm for it, Javis! I think realistically you might have more fun if you temper your expectations, though.
If only that could be true ! ( fat chance i guess, like the real world our virtual world has obviously changed a lot too.. for better or worse, who can tell...) Still, we have the immaculate PMDG DC-6 as a perfect example of what can be done within the field of proplining for any dev with a heart forSadly a lot of the market for study-level planes seems to be boring FMS/auto-everything modern airliners. Not sure if there's be a big enough market for a detailed L.049 with Redwing's already available. I'd love to be wrong! I wish A2A would get back into classic planes.
these beautiful legends to think about. Surely there still must be one or two around... ;-) It's not like the RW Connie (the version that i have) can now stand in the DC-6's shadow but unlike my earlier comments i can say i am quite happy with what i see now ! Kudos Red Wing ! Keep on it !
