Possible A-7 conversion on the way

I say "possible" because the guy on a Facebook group who is doing it has A) not completed it yet, and B) has not stated if he will be making it available for everyone. I messaged him, asking who's model he is converting (thinking Razbam, but could be a earlier model), but have not received a answer. All that said, I am encouraged by the news. I've been hoping for a converted A-7 to use until Simworks releases theirs, which is a LONG way off from happening. NC

Long live da SLUFs!

Hope so, surprised there hasn't been a port-over show up yet of either the Raz or old DSB/Iris. With the drama at Razbam (vs. ED), had hoped we would see some models come over to MSFS.

I did get a reply back from the guy who is working on the conversion. He told me that it is indeed the Razbam model, and that Ron Zambrano.approved of the conversion. Great news! NC

Hey Pete,

Have you had any news about this conversion project in the meantime?

Cheers,

Priller

I messaged him a few weeks.ago. He said there was a lot of conversion tweaking to be done, but real life commitments get in the way. I will message him again soon. What I don't want to do is piss him off with too many update requests, or he might not share! Pete

Thanks NC, got tired of waiting on some projects so revisited port overs, starting with the Raz T-2. I got in the sim at least and kind of flyable until I get a random CTD. Thought I would eye over both the old Tacpack A-7 and non-Tacpack TA-7 models as a fill in until someone that knows what they're doing completes a project.

Ooooh, I have really wanted/hoped someone could make a successful T-2 conversion. I hope you give it another try, and please DO look at the A-7, because I don't want to count too much on this other guy. He may not come thru. NC

Well, my hopes for a A-7 conversion are dwindling. I contact the guy who "was" working on it. He replied, saying everything is on hold as he is moving and had not done any more with it. Rats. I would convert it myself, but just don't have the technical knowledge to do it successfully. NC

Hi Chief. I'll give you a little "hopium" involving Flying Iron Simulations and its DCS A-7E. Follow the link - https://flyingironsimulations.com/blogs/news/dcs-a-7e-development-update-2021

And here - https://flyingironsimulations.com/blogs/news/dcs-a-7e-development-update

I would buy this in a heart beat once released!
Oh, I definitely am familiar with Flying Iron's A-7E DCS project. I provided them a fairly large amount of info on the A-7E. I have a pretty good sized library on everything dealing with that aircraft! This project has been going on for quite a while, and it's looking like it will be quite a while longer before it's released.

Well Chief, I know it’s a bummer for sure !
Here’s the gate guard at our Southern Museum of Flight
About 2-3 city blocks from the perimeter fence of our KBHM airport
I hope it can scratch that itch
