RE: Installation of 'extra' sound folder for the SF_F86

I noticed that there's a separate sound folder called sound/SF8_F86. It has 28 wav. files,...the first one titled 'button.' There's no sound cfg. file within this sound package. The readme doesn't list where it goes,..so my question is,...is it added to the aircraft's sound folder or in the main FS9 sound folder? But that doesn't seem right. Suggestions welcome.

Main FS9 sound folder. It has all the sounds for the gauges - you will be missing out on much if you put this folder anywhere else.

Do I just add the the folder its self to the fs9 sound folder or do I copy the the files in the sound/SF8_F86 and place them in the fs9 sound folder thanks

I think the extra folder should be renamed think "caf" as it contains the Canadian Air Force repaint.

Regards Paul Day.

Paul,

Try not to second guess the installation instructions by renaming anything. That extra texture folder contains the textures for basic items such as tires, wheel hubs, inside the wheel wells etc, etc.

I have a paid version of Win-Rar and I let it do the extract for me following the instructions and it all seems okay for me.
