RE: Not your regular flight video piece on the Blue Angels.....

Hi all,
We've all seen some great video clips involving the Blue Angels. But this one is different. It honors a gentleman,....Al Taddeo,...who was part of the first Blue Angels Demo team back in 1946. It also honors the Grumman F8F Bearcat,....which was the plane used from 1946 to 1949. The F6F Hellcat was used only briefly,...three months,.....before the Blue Angels switched to the Bearcat.
You'll see vintage movie clips of the Blue Angels flying their Bearcats to today's Blue Angels flying in tandem their Hornets along side some superlative maintained F8F's.
Sit back and enjoy,...be sure to go full screen: 'THE BLUES,...then and now.'

Great video, thanks for posting!!! I don't believe I've seen a single video produced by the ASB guys that hasn't nearly brought a tear to my eye. They do some great work :applause:

I'm partial to the Thunderbirds myself but there is no way you can't find this video stirring. Thanks for posting.

I had the pleasure when I was a young boy to see the Blues at the Dobbins AFB Airshow, flying their A-4's for the last time. Then the following year flying the F/A-18. You just can't tell when history will creep up on you.
