RIP Paul Kantner

SOH-CM-2025
I heard on the radio last night that Paul Kantner, 74, of Jefferson Airplane/Starship has passed on.

Paul was a wonderful rhythm 12-string player. You can really hear it on all the early JA albums.

The one thing I'll say for the musicians of the Sixties...they had the right stuff, which cannot be said for many of the candy coated pop outs of more recent fame.

As one who experienced the Airplane and so many others first hand I will have to say Paul Kantner will be most profoundly missed and reverently remembered.

RIP PK......Keep beating the "Tribal Drum".

Geez, all these musicians are dropping like flies!! NC

Time is catching up with us NC. 41 years ago I could count on 2 fingers the number of people I knew who had retired after my
working at a company for 10 years. Now, I haven't got enough fingers and toes.

When I heard that Maurice White of EW&F had
passed, it took me back to the 70s and it's at times like that you become acutely aware of the passage of time!

I notice, Paul K, although a brilliant muso, in a group symbolic of a generation, didn't get the wall to wall coverage and sycophancy afforded the other names who kicked the bucket recently...
Farewell PK, another symbol of the aging and passing of my generation.......
