Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Rocket car and salt flats.

not to forget about Bill Molony's well crafted Atlanta Motor Speedway - for Nascar racing - compatible with FS2004 incl. w/ Ultimate Terrain USA
https://www.fs2000.org/2002/09/10/fs2002-scenery-atlanta-motor-speedway/

and Molony's (also largely geo-accurate) Atlanta Skyline for FS2002 is likewise a treat in FS2004 UT-USA for those flying in the modern era
https://www.fs2000.org/2008/01/01/fs2002-scenery-atlanta-skyline/ --> with only minor adjustments and nicely complements his Motor Speedway

there is also the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by John Townsend https://www.fs2000.org/2004/06/09/fs2004-scenery-indianapolis-motor-speedway/

cheers!

AH..But is NASCAR actually racing when they only turn left?

Does anyone have the Gimli Racing Strip, where back in the Days the Air Canada Boeing 767-200 “Gimli Glider” came down?

as a heads-up to anyone interested in the Silver Age, John McKeon's updated Brooklands 1951 and Wisley for FS2004 - aligned to JustFlight VFR, previously available at FS2000 https://www.fs2000.org/2005/01/12/fs2004-scenery-brooklands-and-wisley/ is still available here: https://ftp.sunet.se/mirror/archive/ftp.sunet.se/pub/pc/games/flight-sim/uploads05/jan/brklnd51.zip
heads-up: if experiencing a scenery glitch at Wisley, best to create a copy of asphalt.bmp in the texture folder and rename said duplicate copy as concr.bmp ---> that ought to be all, in addition to any relevant instructions already included in the readme, to have Wisley functioning correctly!

cheers!
